Once known as the “City of Beaches,” Alameda is now known for maintaining a small town atmosphere in the midst of the metropolitan Bay Area. Most of Alameda is housed on an island just across from Oakland. It is accessible by tunnel or bridge, and is just minutes from Oakland airport. Alameda boasts fantastic Victorian architecture, great golf courses, and active yacht harbors. These features are blended with great views of San Francisco and the bay, and a large selection of international restaurants.
