A Town called Brisbane, once a small town known for its “Spirit of Independence” is now a city of around 3,600, with 3.4 square miles of land and 17 square miles of water. It sits between San Bruno Mountain and the San Francisco Bay where Sierra and Oyster Points jettison out in to the bay. Now the home of high-tech industrial parks and known as an employment hub between San Francisco and its international airport along the U.S. 101 freeway, Brisbane's daytime population is larger than its residential population because of the workforce that commutes into the community. To enhance recreation and balance growing corporate opportunities, this Historical minded community used the richness of the Bay and the widely divergent views from its shoreline—vast expanses of marshland, open expanses of water, the lights of an urban panorama, the bustle of a working waterfront by supporting the building of the Bay Trail which now serves as a corridor to a marina, fishing pier affording residents and visitors many pleasurable and unique outdoor and water activities.
