Brandon provides small town living just south of Downtown Tampa. Brandon is probably best known for its annual Brandon Balloon Classic. Held every April, this two-day celebration usually includes over 50 hot air balloons from all over the country. Balloons lift off at dawn and observers stay to enjoy activities and refreshments on the ground. Brandon residents enjoy the close proximity to area beaches, Central Florida attractions, sporting events, and the Tampa International Airport. Shopping is nearby at the 974,000-square-foot Brandon Town Center Mall, a thriving regional center featuring both national and local retailers.
