Q: Why did Oakwood buy ExecuStay?

A: At Oakwood we are always examining new markets, exploring new products, and seizing new opportunities to better service our Clients and Guests. We have always respected ExecuStay's business practices and share many of the same Core Values, especially as it relates to their Associates and clients. The addition of the ExecuStay brand to Oakwood's product offering expands our footprint and enhances our ability to provide customized, long-term global housing solutions to our customers. We will leverage product and service offerings from both companies to deliver innovative solutions to meet our customers' changing needs around the world.

 

Q: Will Oakwood operate the ExecuStay brand independently?

A: Oakwood will operate the ExecuStay brand as a separate offering. Marriott Rewards® Points are available to Marriott Rewards members who stay in an ExecuStay apartment.

 

Q: What does the Oakwood and Marriott preferred partnership agreement mean and how long will it last?

A: Oakwood and Marriott have entered into an eight-year preferred partnership agreement. Oakwood becomes Marriott's preferred provider of corporate housing in the United States and Marriott will refer their clients who need corporate housing for a month or more. Marriott will become the preferred hotel provider for Oakwood customers who need a hotel stay and will be featured on Oakwood's website. Oakwood and ExecuStay will be provided with preferential placement on Marriott's website. Additionally, guests will continue to earn Marriott Rewards guest loyalty program points for stays at ExecuStay apartments.

 

Q: What changes should I expect in the near term?

A: We are committed to delivering the level of service that our clients and guests have come to expect from Oakwood and ExecuStay. Now that the acquisition is complete, both Oakwood and ExecuStay will work in partnership to develop the best “go forward” strategy for our clients and the combined organization. We promise to keep everyone informed of our progress. 

 

Q: How does the merger affect any existing reservations?

A: There will be no impact to current guest stays or upcoming guest reservations at either company. Oakwood and ExecuStay will continue to honor and abide by all current contracts.

 

Q: How will this merger affect my current lease terms or my monthly invoice?

A: There will be no immediate impact to your current lease terms and no immediate changes to your monthly invoice.

 

Q: What will happen with my current contract?

A: Oakwood and ExecuStay will continue to honor and abide by all current contracts.

 

Q: Will my salesperson or account service team change?

A: There will be no immediate change to any of your corporate contacts, their email addresses or phone numbers. Oakwood and ExecuStay will work in partnership to develop the best “go forward” strategy for our clients and the combined organization. We promise to keep everyone informed of our progress.

 

Q: Who do guests contact regarding account or customer service questions or issues?

A: You’ll still continue to receive the same level of outstanding customer service you’ve come to expect from ExecuStay and Oakwood.  ExecuStay guests should call 1.888.340.2565, and Oakwood guests 1.800.888.0808 for service or support. Alternatively, they may visit ExecuStay.com or Oakwood.com for additional assistance or questions.

 

Q: Will guests still be able to earn Marriott Rewards® points?

A: Guests will still be able to earn Marriott Rewards® points, maintain or improve your elite status and enjoy all the other benefits of the program when they stay in ExecuStay apartments. Oakwood apartment stays are not eligible for Marriott Rewards points.

 

Q: How do I book reservations going forward?

A: There is no change to the Oakwood or ExecuStay reservation process. In order to book a new Oakwood reservation or confirm an existing reservation, you may contact your current Sales Executive, Account Coordinator, call our central reservation center at 1.800.888.0808 or visit Oakwood.com. ExecuStay guests should call 1.888.340.2565 or visit ExecuStay.com.
