Minneapolis

Minneapolis is the largest city in Minnesota and is known as "The City of Lakes." It lies on both banks of the Mississippi River, just north of the where the river joins the Minnesota River, and adjoins Saint Paul, the state's capital.  Also known as the Twin Cities, these two cities form the core of Minneapolis-St. Paul, the fifteenth largest metropolitan area in the United States, with about 3.5 million residents.

Abundantly rich in water, Minneapolis corporate apartment residents will enjoy living near twenty lakes and wetlands, the Mississippi riverfront, creeks and waterfalls, many connected by parkways in the Chain of Lakes and the Grand Rounds Scenic Byway.

Once the world's flour milling capital and a hub for timber, Minneapolis is the primary business center between Chicago, Illinois, and Seattle, Washington.  Regional theater was pioneered at the Guthrie Theater, one of many cultural organizations that draw creative people and audiences to Minneapolis for theater, visual art, writing and music. A diverse population, the community has a long tradition of charitable support through progressive public social programs and through private and corporate philanthropy. Public park systems are modeled after the city itself where a park is within one-half mile of every home. Minneapolis corporate apartment residents will be drawn to the Stone Arch Bridge, Mill City Museum, Minneapolis Public Library, and (on game days) the Metrodome.

Living in a Minneapolis corporate apartment, a renter has access to five Fortune 500 companies, including Target, Ameriprise Financial, and U.S. Bancorp.  In 2005, "Popular Science" named Minneapolis as the "Top Tech City" in the US.

Minneapolis corporate residents will find living in the city is easy when you have your choice of walking, riding the bus, or riding on the new Light Rail train.  Many residents utilize the unique Minneapolis skyway system- enclosed pedestrian bridges which link eighty blocks downtown.  Bicycling is also very popular in Minneapolis.  Ten thousand cyclists use the bike lanes every day, even in the winter.
